Round 8 Point Star Floor Medallions are called Wind Roses. Each point refers to one of the eight major winds. As
opposed to a Compass Rose or 16 point star inlay. A 16 point Inlay is called a Compass Rose when letters are
placed on the medallion. All inlays are made to order and never stocked so there is an 8 week lead time on all

Round 8 Point Star Inlays
Inlays with "Star Style" 3 have 8 points of the star touching at the center, in Style 1 & Style 2 only four points touch the center.
I really pay attention to details. For example I Inlay the letters in a solid piece of wood with NO seam running through them. Refer
to the "W" on the right, click for a close up. Other companies either don't care, don't realize it or just take the easy way out. It is
much simpler cutting in the letters in two pieces with a seam going through them, rather than "laying in" the letters in a solid
piece. If the seam gaps down the road the letters may look undesirable. This is just one of the numerous small details I provide in
my Medallions. Doing all these little things (by hand) takes extra time, but is well worth it. Just another reason to wait for me to
personally make you a floor medallion! Please refer to the inset pictures above to see what I am talking about. Looks bad doesn't it!

On this page there are three subtly different 8 point star variations. In the 8 Point Star "Style 1" and "Style 2" only 4 of the star tips
touch at the center of the star. In the 8 Point Star "Style 3" all eight of the star tips touch at the center of the star. The rings or lack
of rings around the star also effect the look of the inlay. Choose a star and then pick how many and what type of rings you want
